Information for Professionals
Respitality operates as a social franchise, which means that although Shared Care Scotland coordinate Respitality nationally for quality assurance, the model of Respitality is handed to organisations that support carers locally to act as the broker between the unpaid carer and the business. This is to ensure there is more of a person centred approach to this short breaks option.
If your organisation supports unpaid carers, and you would like to deliver Respitality locally, we have a Memorandum of Understanding that is signed by yourself and Shared Care Scotland. This confirms your commitment to Respitality and is an agreement that outlines what is expected of the carers organisation involved and what you can expect from Shared Care Scotland in terms of support and resources. There is no cost for organisations to sign up to deliver Respitality.
If you would like to find out more about getting involved with Respitality, please contact our team on 01383 622462 or respitality@sharedcarescotland.com
